This cycling holiday is a pre-season trip suitable to get ready for your spring/summer season whether you are a racer or a leisure rider.


The trip is built around the Volta Algarve professional cycling race, so that you can get the opportunity to watch the pros a few of the days.
The highlight of the trip is surely the Gran Fondo Algarve on Saturday and the hill climb on Sunday for you to take part!

ARRIVAL DAY AND COFFEE RIDE



Welcome to the Algarve!
After check in, and when everyone is ready, we head out for a short ride to shake up the legs after the flights.



ALTO MALHAO & GRAN FONDO RECCE



First day and we head north to Algarve's steepest climb. 3km with parts at 10%. The way out and back to Malhao is all up and down through the beautiful village and quiet roads.



PRE GRAN FONDO RIDE TO QUERENÇA



A 66 km scheduled today for a perfect activation ride for tomorrow. We ride to the stunning village of Querenca. Quiet roads, great coffee and great scenary oft the Algarve countryside.



GRAN FONDO ALGARVE



Today, Sunday is the day of the Gran Fondo Algarve event! Early start of an amazing day in the saddle!



TAVIRA RIDE



On Sunday, the hill climb challenge , is an uphill event from the bottom to the top of Malhao. Just after the amateur event, the last stage of the pro finishes at the same spot.



LEAVING DAY AND COFFEE RIDE



Last day. If feel to do the last quick ride before catching your fly, we have planned a stunning ride around the golf courses of Quinta Do Lago for you. See you next time on another Cycling Holiday!

A former pro cyclist, Amedeo is a cycling tour guide for a decade. It is one of the most experience guides that you will ever find, counting almost over 1000 days on tours.
Finally, Amedeo is a qualified massage therapist.

Current European Champion Gran Fondo Women, Marine has a vast knowledge in cycling as well as individuals wellness.
She is a qualified sports nutritionist, massage therapist & yoga teacher.



ACCOMMODATION: 4* SEL CATERING APARTMENT IN QUINTA DO LAGO RESORT



The four star Vilar do Golf is situated in the prestigious 2,000 acre Quinta do Lago Estate in the Algarve, Portugal. It features indoor and outdoor pools, a children’s pool, whirlpool, fitness centre and spa. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The air-conditioned villas include a well-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer.
